​New tint shop opens in Aurora Illinois near Fox Valley Mall
 
Premier Tint Pros is proud to announce their new location that opened in Aurora Illinois this November of 2017.  Premier Tint Pros opened in Oswego Illinois in the Kendall Point industrial park on October 15, 2016; one year later they opened their Fox Valley Location next to the Gerber Glass on Route 59. 
 
Carlos Avila started Premier Tint Pros back in 2006 and has taken his 11 plus years of training and now has a full staff of tinters who have completed his tinting training program and are now tinting over 30 cars a day under his supervision and guidance.
 
Both Oswego and Aurora’s locations have great shop hours to service all their customers and their busy schedule. They are open from 8am to 9pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 8am to 6pm. Each location can hold three to four cars at a time. With their Graphtec machine plotters, they are able to complete most tint jobs in less than 2 ½ hours.

It seems it took Illinois a little while to catch up and leave behind those warm, summer days, but just because it’s no longer hitting close to 80 or 90 degrees outside, doesn’t mean that your window tinting will cease to be amazing. If you don’t have window tint on your vehicle, you might just change your mind!

A year ago, on Oct. 15, 2016, we received the keys to Premier Tint Pros first professional shop. After 11 years of tinting, Carlos Avila turned the keys to start his plans for becoming a well-established Professional Tint Shop. Only hours later after the turn of the first key, the paint went on the walls, the film was unloaded from his car and the blades came out. A few hours after that the cars started driving in and they never stopped. They doubled, tripled, quadrupled and continued to come every day, week and month.  Along with Carlos and his dad, Carlos Sr. came the rest of the staff that began to grow. First came Gilbert, Ivan, Alex, countless family members, and then the staff grew larger with Antonio, Cristóbal, Matias, Sebastian and more.  

There were many great times when the tint went on effortlessly and there were times of tears and many redos. The skills began to grow and the reviews went through the roof! Our name was out there, we were known. Friends were made, smiles were shared, events were celebrated and we gave back to our community.

Driving through my hometown of Oswego I pull up to a light and know the car, see our work, and share the smile and thumbs up I receive from the driver of the car.  I walk into our local high school football games and see the Wolfpack throwing powder and streamers celebrating their team wins, knowing that was made possible by us giving back to our schools. The marching band parades down the street at OHS and there is our name on the back of the shirts.  This is our town, this is our home, you are our clients that we are so grateful for.

A year ago, many people told us that we would not make it. We would fail. We wouldn’t survive in this area and we couldn’t do the unthinkable. We have cried (I have cried) we have celebrated, we have fought with one another, we have stormed the roughest waters at times. Then just when we thought….. no, we never thought that… we knew we would make it, we would move forward, we would make the great times better and the better times amazing.

Today, one year later we as a team have taken on a new set of keys to our second home. The doors will open in a couple of weeks, the plotter will roll off the LLumar trucks with stacks of tint boxes to be put on the shelves. The staff will come in with tons of experience and smiles on their faces. “WE BUILT THIS” together, as a team. A team that pushed through everything to make a dream and future not only for our family but yours too. A dream of having your car look exactly as you want it. A dream of providing great window tint to keep you and your family safe from Skin Cancer and from damaging rays.

Carlos and I want to thank each family member, employee, customer, chamber members, auto dealership and community members for making 2016 and 2017 an amazing year! We look forward to serving the Oswego and Fox Valley area for many years to come.

You just tinted your car windows and you waited the 48 hours before rolling down the windows and two weeks before cleaning the inside of the windows. Now they are getting dirty and it’s time to clean them.  What do you do?
 
Since Tinting is basically the application of a fine layer of film on your car window. Care and caution is a key while washing them. The easiest method would be to fill a spray bottle with water and gently dampen the glass and using a microfiber cloth to wipe it clean. Avoid using different types of towels and clothes to prevent the tint from becoming damaged.
 
Take these following steps to clean your windows:
 
·       While wiping the glass, do so in a vertical direction first, after which a quick analysis of the glass for any water stains can be done before proceeding to wiping in a horizontal direction.
·       Dirt and other residue can be a difficult to remove using just water and a cloth therefore, you might need to repeat the process for the stubborn stains.
·       The next step would be to roll down your windows so that the tops can be cleaned too. Cleaning the tops is equally important, as that is where the dirt is usually trapped because of the window lining.
·       After the tops are cleaned you can proceed to cleaning the inside of the window to attain a sparkling result.
 
The advanced method of glass cleaner and cloth
If you have some really tough stains to remove that are not taken care of by water you can always use a non-ammonia glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth.

·       Any products that contain high levels of ammonia are a strict no-no as they are the ultimate destroyer for your window tints. A lint free cloth is the best cleaning tool to use for those procedures. Make sure to spray the glass cleaning formula onto the cloth or paper towel to avoid spot formation.
·       Using Spray-a-way foam cleaner is Premier Tint Pros recommendation. The cleaner can be sprayed directly onto the window and the door panels for a complete job on cleaning your window tints.

Is your college student driving off to college for the first time or perhaps It's time for them to pack up and hit the road for their gap year? Premier Tint Pros wants to share these valuable driving safety tips with your college students as they load up their cars and hit the road.

1. Avoid Cramming, Pack Right. Even though your son or daughter will try to fit every last piece of dorm room equipment or luggage into the car, make sure whoever is driving is able to see out of the rearview mirror despite a fully packed car. Nothing should be packed above the back-seat level to avoid projectile movement of objects if the need to stop short arises. Pack right by making two trips or shipping what will not fit safely in the car.
2. Take a Break. Whether you or child is driving, make sure to plan to take stops and break up your drive if it is a long one.
3. Conduct a Car Check. Check headlights, oil, turn signals, and tires before letting your son or daughter embark on their journey. You never know when these vehicle essentials may break down!
4. Take your car keys with you. To many times we see people leave their car keys in their car when they go into the gas station. This leaves to many chances for someone to not only steal your car, but everything that is important to you in your car.
5. Always Lock up! College students often forget that urban areas of college campuses are not as safe as their parents' driveway. Remind your son or daughter to never leave valuables in the car and always lock the car.
6. Tint your windows. Your teen is right, their car should be tinted! (yes, teens you can thank us now). Here are several reasons why you should tint your vehicle before leaving for college or on a long-extended road trip.
   1. Gas.  You will save on gas because you not be cranking the air-conditioning while you drive.  With tinted windows, you keep out the heat to keep your car naturally cooler.
   2. Protect your personal items. When heading off to college your most important values are in your car. When thieves are walking down the street they are less likely to take the time to try looking in the tinted windows and see what is in the car. That causes attention.
   3. Protect your investment. Let’s face it with the cost of college we don’t have the extra money to buy a new car during college. Tinted windows keep out 99% of the UV rays out. UV rays not only damages your skin but your vehicles interior as well. No more peeling or fading of your leather or cloth seats and dash board.
